We spent two weeks on St. Lucia and thought the island was absolutely beautiful. We hired Fabian one Friday night to take us to the Anse La Raye seafood festival and the "Jump Up" at Gros Islet. Fabian came highly recommended by one of the bar tenders at our resort and I had been in contact with him before our arrival. I want to say how very nice and professional Fabian was, plus mention the fact that three older widows went with us that night. Fabian was very much a gentlemen and stayed with us at both places. He picked us up at our hotel on time, and when the 3 ladies tired, he dropped them off after the seafood festival and then we went on to Gros Islet. His van is very nice and very clean and you will have nothing to worry about when you are with Fabian. Although we saw a lot of the island by boat, I am only sorry that we did not hire Fabian sooner and do a tour of the island by land. There were so many other places we wanted to go, and I'm sure he would have been an excellent guide, as he knows the island well. The last thing I can say is, if you're traveling to St. Lucia and wish to hire a great taxi driver with reasonable rates, please contact Fabian. You'll be glad you did. Nancy

Fellow Travelers, I just returned home from a fabulous Southern Caribbean Cruise. While in St. Lucia, Fabian showed us his beautiful island. There were 58 of us in my group and Fabian did a great job of organizing our tour. We had six vans and while we didn't need to stay together, Fabian kept in close contact with his other drivers so we were able to stop and tour together. I arranged all this with Fabian via email. He was always prompt in responding and everything went off without a glitch. THANK YOU FABIAN! Everyone enjoyed themselves and per your suggestion, hopefully some of us will be able to return for a longer visit and truly experience St. Lucia!! Kim

Great fun in St. Lucia with Fabian Just returned from a marvelous week in St Lucia.!!! Our tour was with Fabian, the best tour guide on the island.!!! He arrived bright and early each morning (3x's), with enough drinks, including Piton-local beer for the group of 12, and we mosied out of Rodney Bay to Soufriere and the Pitons. Had lunch at Ladera. a restaurant with the most fantastic view of the Pitons. Wow... will stay there on my next visit. Then he patiently took us to the Rainforest and Diamond Waterfalls where we were invigorated by the hot springs. Fabian was just totally laid back and patient with the huge group while everyone oohed.... and aahed.... at the vegetation. He also found us the best guide in the park - Alexander, the Great, who knew the name of every plant in the botanical gardens and the history thereof. Fabian carried us to the fishing village of Anse La Raye where we feasted on the most delicious lobster and lambi. Then had great fun at he street party. Another day he showed us how well the St. Lucians produce rum. Wow!!! We tasted about twenty different varieties while touring the factory. To prove how patient this guy is as a guide he took us shopping in the mountains at the batik place(forgotten the name) and at the art gallery. He never once complained when he had to wait and repeatedly call on the group to return to the van so that we could continue. Am dying to return to St Lucia and I hope Fabian will not be too busy to take us out again. Good job. Charmaine

Fabian was very reasonable($40pp),friendly, knowledgeable and provided a very scenic and a fun tour. We got a chance to see the beauty of a lush island. We went to the historical sites in Castries, the banana plantation..Marigot Bay..ate cassava bread that was made in front of us (try the raisin one)..the volcano (saw hot lava bubbling..wow) and jumped in the water under the falls. We have 3 kids (8 - 15) who found it to be interesting as well. We spent as much time at each stop as we liked, and was never rushed, even at Reduit beach (beautiful ..did not want to leave). When we were ready, he returned us to the ship. Throughout the tour he provided us with beverages (loved the rum punch and the local beer) and samples of local breads and great tasting bananas. Can't Go Wrong With Fabian! I couldn't agree more!! The tour we had with Fabian was by far the best. Although it was cloudy most of the day when we were there last week, with off and on rain, but Fabian did his best to make our trip to St. Lucia a memorable one. I would definitely recommend Fabian to anyone going to St. Lucia. He is well known throughout the island, as everywhere we went, they would tell us that he is one of the best tour guides. We were even told this getting off the ship by some of the other taxi drivers!! Check out his website and book him immediately. And by the way, he does have some of the best rum punch around . pswgh

We made a fantastic tour with Paul, a friend of Fabian last week. He has a very good knowledge of his island and a marvelous sense of humor. We made the classic tour of the island and also went to snorkeling in Anse Chastenet. He also supplied refresments and was at our complete service. We recommend this tour to everybody. We toured St. Lucia with Fabian last week and have only wonderful things to say about him. We booked him about 2 weeks before we left and were very pleased with the tour. He took 6 of us (all family) all around the island for appx. 4 1/2 hours. He was very polite, informative, and easy to understand. His van is only about 3 weeks old and was perfectly clean. He took us to the drive in volcano, banana plantations, fishing villages, waterfall and botanical gardens and to many scenic areas. He paid for our admissions to all that required one and he bought us local breads and bananas to sample. He had beverages for us including beer, soda, water and really good rum punch. He even offered to drop us off at the beach at the end of our tour and return for us whenever we wanted, but we were so tired by then that we decided to just return to the ship. We had a wonderful day and would definitely recommend Fabian to anyone interested in a personal tour of St. Lucia. Thanks for a great day, Fabian. The Carli family

hi -- my family just returned from St. Lucia today and we used Fabian as our tour guide all week. He is the BEST!! The highlight of our trip was when we asked if there were any grills on the island we could cook some local fish and within 15 minutes he put together a St. Lucian beach luau complete with about 12 of his good friends and prepared local foods that were out of the world. All we supplied was the fish and he took care of the rest. Oh by the way, his taxi service and tours were awesome, on time and very knowledgeable with lots of specialized attention. In December, we went to St. Lucia to marry and honeymoon. We were fortunate enough to have family and friends join us for our nuptials and wanted to do something special for our guests. We decided to take everyone on an island tour and came across numerous positive recommendations to hire Fabian for tour services. From the moment I emailed Fabian and he responded, I knew we were in good hands. Fabian was wonderful in helping to design a day tour that would capture many of the beautiful sites in St. Lucia. Fabian even proofed a brochure we created for our guests outlining their island day tour. He made recommendations on a place to stop for lunch, which was wonderful! Fabian was a wealth of information and answered so many questions during the four months I worked with him before our arrival in St. Lucia. He has the patience of a saint! Fabian was prompt in picking us up, very professional, and had a nice, clean, air-conditioned van to accommodate our party of 12. He was a very safe driver on the hilly, windy and narrow roads of St. Lucia. Fabian gave us as much time as we wanted at each location, yet kept us mindful of our schedule since we had a lot planned. Throughout the tour, Fabian treated us to some cookies at a roadside stop, cassava bread, and a champagne toast at lunch in celebration of our wedding the next day. We were scheduled to fly USAirways to St. Lucia on March 17, 2007, and had made plans with Fabian to pick us up at the airport. Due to snow, sleet, and the incompetence of USAirways we were stranded in Philadelphia. Late that evening we arranged a flight on AirJamaica for the next day, I e-mailed Fabian and asked him if he could pick us up on Sunday. Within minutes I had a reply from Fabian that he indeed would be there for us. I was amazed that this young man was working on a Saturday night. We needed transportation to and from our ship, to our hotel, hotel to airport, and a short tour; we used Fabian for everything. I cannot praise this young man enough, he runs his business in a very efficient and professional manner. He is always on time, if not early. His van is new and very comfortable. Party of six took a tour with Fabian. Outstanding! We were off a cruise ship. Very nice guy, very nice van. Stopped at different places to show the islands character-casava bread, snake handler, bannana vendor, crafts etc. I had researched and wanted to go to Anse Chastanet. Road is very bad but Fabian said no problem. Outstanding beach and restaurant-no rush from Fabian. Would highly recommend.

May 17,2007 Fabian is wonderful!We cruised the southern caribbean in March of this year.we had a shakey start due to some problems with the airlines.Fabian made up for everything!ourtour was wonderful.I have mobility problems and must use a elec. scooter.Fabian was the only tour guide who even offered to accommidate us on a tour.he and some of his buddies picked up my scooter and placed it into his van and off we went.this was the highlight of the whole cruise for me.Fabian got out at every stop to get bananas,cashews,cookies and bread for me.You're an angel Fabian.Thanks,Vallie@Russ

Taking a cruise can be exciting, but bring much anxiety when trying to determine where to go, what to see, and who to use for a guide during the visits to the various ports. There were so many options given by the cruise ship, but we decided to go independent and seek a private tour, prior to our departure date, that would give us a taste of what the island was really like from the perspective of someone who lived there. We were not disappointed. Fabian's Taxi Tour Service of St. Lucia, info@fabiantoursstlucia.com provided an absolutely wonderful experience for my husband and me. Fabian, himself, met us at the pier and spent the day sharing the beauty of St. Lucia. We started our tour as we traveled through the capital of Castries. We visited Walcott Square, where we were able to see a large Samaan Tree, which is over 400 years old. We drove the winding, mountainous road heading south where we were able to see several fishing villages. The views were breathtaking, including Marigot Bay. Part of the tour included driving through the rain forest, which gets 160 inches of rain/year. We visited the Toraille Waterfalls/Botanical Gardens and Sulfur Springs, a drive-in volcano. We had never experienced the sulfur smell of a volcano or the bubbling, black lava. He shared the history of the island that dates back hundreds of years. We were able to see several churches that were over 200 years old. We sampled local foods (tasting freshly made cassava bread, coconut cookies, fresh coconut, sugar cane, banana ketchup and the best, freshly baked bread ever). He provided unlimited beverages including local beer, rum punch, soda and water. We hit the bottled water heavily that day, but could not finish the day without tasting the rum punch. We had the opportunity to swim at Jalousie Beach that lies between the Pitons, Gros and Petit. We stopped along the road and had lessons on the growing of bananas and cashews. We now understand WHY cashews are so expensive in the US! Fabian stopped and bought roasted cashews so that we could taste how the locals prepare them. We were allowed to leisurely view each stop. It was a relaxed tour and one that Fabian created to meet OUR expectations. His vehicle was air-conditioned and comfortable. We could have invited others to join us, but we chose to make it OUR day. We now have pictures to remind us of an unforgettable day. We promised Fabian we would share our experience with others upon our return home. Tourism is the primary income for St. Lucia. Word of mouth is the best advertisement for success. We highly recommend using Fabian’s Taxi Tour Service when visiting St. Lucia. His ultimate goal is one of customer satisfaction. We used Fabian's Taxi Service from the International Airport to Castries (about 1 hr 20 min) and they were very easy to find. Paul, his associate, waiting for us just outside the gate just like they said they would. The taxi was large, confortable and had an excellent air conditioning system. On the way to the hotel he stopped by a local open air bar overlooking a beautiful bay where we tried their loacl beer "Piton". We drank it the rest of the week. He also stopped at a small convience store to purchase some beer and food for our stay. It is not easy to find an open grocery store on a Sunday afternoon but he knew where to go. We used Fabian later in the week for a full island tour. Fabian took us to all of the best sights and gave us a nice history on each one. The pride he showed and his knowledge of his country made the tour even greater. He took us to several local places so that we could try some of the local foods too! He customized the tour to fit our requests and the price was reasonable and the service was excellent. We also hired Fabian to get us back to the airport for our return flight home. His timing was perfect. Just a pointer...if you get car sick, you should take motion sickness medication since every road in St. Lucia has very sharp curves and will make you sick. It isn't the driver...he stopped periodically so that it wasn't too bad.

9/26/07 My wife and I just completed our dream vacation in St.Lucia. It was my birthday present, and she couldn't have given me a better gift. Our experience was wonderful and exponentially enhanced by the use of Fabian's services. This was my first trip out of the US and certainly my first trip to the Islands. I found Fabian via the internet and from our first exchange of email the professionalism and quality was apparent. Those qualities were borne out by the magnificent time we had on his tours during the four days we spent in St. Lucia. Fabian proved to be St.Lucia's greatest ambassador via his knowledge, guide skills and personable manner. We experienced St. Lucia in a way that will stay with us forever. From the moment we arrived and were met exactly as planned, we never had a bad moment or found Fabian and St. Lucia to be anything less than fabulous. The Island Tour provided us with a glimpse of St.Lucia up close and Fabian intertwined his comments in an informative and clear manner that kept us enthralled. The mountain roads were picturesque and enjoyable thanks to Fabian's driving skills.(Thank God I did not rent an automobile as I had considered initially...driving for the uninitiated would be a most difficult undertaking..if not life threatening..smile). Being a novice traveler, one of the things I was concerned about was enjoying the local atmosphere without being constrained by the thought of possible dangers. Let me say here, Fabian is well known throughout the island and his presence and watchful eye was a great comforter. It was apparent right away that we were in good care and we were able to enjoy St.Lucia in comfort and safety. The people of St.Lucia are a friendly and outgoing people who make you feel at home. Imagine sitting with the locals, eating local dishes in a friendly and convival atmoshpere. We had a blast. There is not enough space to list all the things we did and all the fun we had. The sights were astounding made all the more so by Fabian's patience and unhurried approach. Not to mention the Rum Punch and Piton Beer that there seemed to be endless amounts for our enjoyment. Whenever we return to St.Lucia, the first call we will make will be to Fabian. I highly recommend that if you are considering seeing St.Lucia..start by contacting Fabian...he is knowledgeable, reasonable, professional and classy with a capital "C". Tom & Deb

Our cruise on Carnival Miracle included a stop November 27, 2007 in St. Lucia. Prior to this we had always booked our shore excursions through Carnival. After hearing from several people what a beautiful island St. Lucia is we knew that we had to see more of the island than what one shore excursion could provide. We began researching taxi services for St. Lucia back in February and the one name that kept coming up over and over was Fabian's Taxi Service. Reviews included comments on his reliability, friendliness, knowledge of the island, helpfulness, patience, etc. We decided to contact him to see if he would be available to show us St. Lucia. Almost immediately we received an automatic reply letting us know that our e-mail had been received and was not floating around somewhere in cyber space. We e-mailed him a number of times between February and November and typically had a response from him within 24 hours. When we arrived on November 27th and met Fabian for our tour of St. Lucia we reviewed our wish list of places and things to see and he assured us we would have time to get them all in. It did not take us long to determine that every-thing we had read about Fabian was true. While giving us a history of his home he was very knowledgable and entertaining. He had an ample supply of cold drinks available for our party of 8 and he provided us with samples of snacks as well as samples of local breads and coconut cookies. The very reasonable rate per person as well as the friendly, humorous, accommodating, patient and knowledgable tour guide made our day in St. Lucia a wonderfuly experience. Fabian took my husband and I on a modified island tour tailored to our preferences which included all of the usual stops in Canaries and Soufriere as well as the Diamond Botanical Gardens/mineral baths, an open-air fruit/vegetable market in Soufriere, and lunch at Dasheene (restaurant at Ladera). I emailed Fabian about two weeks before our trip and he was great at working with me to figure out what our tour would include; he responded to my emails very quickly and was very patient and flexible when I changed my mind about what we should do multiple times. The tour itself was great... Fabian was on time and provided a lot of general info on St. Lucia while we were driving and answered all of our questions. At each site he gave us information about the site and then gave us time to explore on our own, we never felt rushed and were able to spend as much time as we wanted at each place. My husband and I both preferred the tour we took with Fabian to tours we took through our resort and would highly recommend his services for exploring and enjoying St. Lucia. Thanks Fabian!

My wife Noelle and I visited St. Lucia between January 9-16, 2008. Fabian picked us up and took us back to the airport, and showed us around the island an entire day. Fabian was very helpful also very knowledgeable about the island, its people and its customs. We just returned from a vacation in St Lucia. The island is exceptionally beautiful and we were able to experience it to it's fullest because of Fabian's personal tour. For less than the cost of tours arranged at your resort, we got to explore all the highlights of the island with stops and experiences that were only possible because it was just our family on the tour. We had the chance to stop at the side of the road to experience local baked bread, pick coca beans off a tree, purchase a watermelon, climb a tamerand tree and taste fresh tamerand (a real special treat), and stop at any time to take in breathtaking views. We also arranged to have Fabian pick us up and take us to the airport for a savings of time and hassel. His bus is clean and confortable. Because Fabian has lived on the island all his life, he was able to suggest restaurants, fantastic snorkling locations and the special tourist experiences that are worth while. Fabian Tours On a recent trip to the Amazon River, our ship, “The Royal Princess” stopped at St Lucia 4 April 2008. Following the recommendations of others, I prearranged a day trip with Fabian.
